Meet Kristina Burgess, LCMHC

My Story

I grew up in rural Illinois surrounded by lots of sky and cornfields. In 2017, I completed my graduate degree in Clinical Psychology. That same year, my family and I moved to Asheville to enjoy the mountains and outdoor culture while staying close to family.

Over the years, I’ve worked in community mental health and residential treatment before moving into private practice.

What started as a practical decision, balancing work and childcare, has grown into a calling.

Today, I feel deeply grateful to not only be a therapist, but also a business owner creating a practice that reflects my values of balance, authenticity, and care.

Philosophy

My vision is to create a healing space where people can learn to turn chaos into calm so they can navigate life’s challenges and emotions confidently.

I want my clients to feel more equipped, more resilient, and more at peace.

Beyond the Office

Outside of therapy, I love being active and spending time outdoors—hiking, swimming, gardening, or just enjoying the mountains.

I’ve also taught fitness classes and yoga, and I find joy in hobbies like knitting, playing ukulele, hula hoop dancing, and cooking.

Life is meant to be lived fully, and I try to bring that sense of curiosity and joy into my work with clients.

Your path to healing can start today

Let’s talk about how I can support you.
